Millennia: Ancient Worlds

Millennia: Ancient Worlds is the first major expansion to the 4X strategy game titled Millenia, released in March 2024. The authors of the original, C Prompt Games studio, are behind the development of this DLC.

Plot

The action of the Millennia: Ancient Worlds add-on is set in prehistoric times, long before the first civilizations emerged. The creators allow us to take control of a nomadic tribe and lead it through the various stages of development, until the moment when it finds a permanent settlement and begins to build a proper society.

Gameplay

Millennia: Ancient Worlds brings a number of previously unavailable possibilities at the early stage of the game. The first of them is a nomadic society, which is a new type of government, through which our community gains access to short-term bonuses, camp construction, or sending groups of nomads into the field.

By taking control of the nomads, we help them search for resources and face the challenges that await them. Nomads have to deal with various threats, including predators and other dangerous, large animals. Additionally, starting an adventure in the permafrost area is synonymous with limited access to natural resources. As the warming progresses, the situation gradually changes, and lush meadows and dense forests begin to occupy the place of the tundra.

In addition, nomads have a new national messenger spirit at their disposal, which allows them to interact with other groups and give them gifts, receive resources from smaller groups in gratitude for their independence, and trade a new special commodity - llamas. The wonders of nature are also included in the expansion, such as Jianglang Peak, Iguazu Falls or even the Redwood Forest, waiting to be discovered during the expeditions.

Millennia: Ancient Worlds is a non-standalone expansion, so it requires the base game Millenia.
