Lost Dimension is a tactical RPG game in which the main role is played by turn-based combat and relations between the characters. The title initially debuted only in Asia, but later the developers decided to release the game in the West.
Plot
The player takes on the role of an unusual 18-year-old, who has been gifted with the ability to predict the future. Thanks to this ability, he once saved millions of people, which in turn provided him with an assignment to the elite S.E.A.L.E.D. unit - a group specializing in secret elimination of the greatest threats. The game begins when a mysterious pillar appears unexpectedly in the world - a unit of 11 agents is immediately sent out to investigate its nature. Similarly to the protagonist, each member is gifted with special abilities - such as telepathy or telekinesis. It soon turns out that a man called The End stands behind all the confusion - a crazy terrorist who wants to destroy the whole planet. However, he is not the only one that threatens humanity.
Mechanics
Our team fights in turn-based battles observed from a third-person perspective. When controlling team members, we control their movements and give orders to use their abilities on themselves or enemies. All heroes develop during the game and gain new skills when they reach the right level. Importantly, we can't always use all the heroes - we have to remove some of them when we suspect that they're trying to betray us. This element is part of the storyline, which plays an extremely important role in Lost Dimension - if it is neglected, it will quickly turn against the protagonist.
Technical aspects
The game has been maintained in the style typical for manga and anime. The characteristic aesthetic plays an important role, but because the plot takes place in the near future, we will also find here a lot of futuristic elements.
