RPG with life simulation elements, in which we play a beginner witch. In Little Witch in the Woods we travel through the village and its surroundings and help its inhabitants, as well as learn to create increasingly complex potions based on the ingredients we obtain.
Little Witch in the Woods is a game somewhere between RPG and life simulation. The game, in which we take on the role of a novice witch looking for a place for herself in a fantastic land, was developed by independent studio Sunny Side Up.
Plot
The main heroine of Little Witch in the Woods is a young magic apprentice named Ellie. In order to graduate from the school of witches, the heroine must go on a placement under the supervision of a witch. When she arrives at the place, she discovers that the surrounding village has fallen into decline and the witch's house, where she is supposed to learn potions and everything that any self-respecting witch can do, is empty. She decides to learn the secrets of her dream profession on her own, and in the process helps the villagers to regain their former glory.
Mechanics
In Little Witch in the Woods the action is shown from a top-down view. In the course of the game we travel through the village and its surroundings, making acquaintances with the inhabitants and discovering the local ecosystem, which consists of various species of plants and animals. The animals give us access to a variety of ingredients which, once processed, are used to create potions.
Besides, villagers often need help from us. By carrying out tasks for them, we not only help them cope with their problems, but also get to know their stories. who can also have various tasks for us.
Technical aspects
Little Witch in the Woods features colourful, clear pixel art graphics and a pleasant soundtrack that creates the atmosphere of a great, magical adventure.
