A minimalistic logic game developed by Rainbow Train studio, creators of such games like HOOK and oO. klocki contains 80 varied levels on which the player must combine various types of lines. Seemingly easy, the game becomes much more demanding as the player progress through the levels and is introduced to more than a dozen of new mechanics.

klocki (pl. “blocks”) for AND, PC and iOS is another game developed by two Polish developers from Rainbow Train who created such games like HOOK and oO. Similarly like their previous games, klocki is a minimalistic logic game focused on learning interesting gameplay mechanics. The game was released simultaneously on mobile platforms and PC.

Mechanics

The game contains 82 levels, during which a player is tasked with combining various types of lines. Seemingly simple game becomes more and more varied as one progress through the levels and learns about new and interesting mechanics of which there is more than 15 in klocki for AND, PC and iOS. The title has well balanced difficulty level – on one side it isn’t childishly easy and on the other side the riddles aren’t irrationally hard.

Technical aspects

The main designer of the game, Maciej Targoni, intended to create a title that will communicate with the player only through varied mechanics. This can be noticed in audio visuals of the title which are very similar to ones presented by Rainbow Train in the HOOK – the title is very minimalistic. There is no typical main menu, options, high scores or text in klocki for AND, PC and iOS. The graphics are unusually simple and clean, just like the music and sound effects created by Wojciech Wasiak. He professionally combines electronic, calm and relaxing ambient sounds in game soundtrack.

AND, PC and iOS version of klocki doesn’t differ from versions available on other platforms. The title was created in 8 months by using Unity3D.
