Steam
A two-dimensional logic game developed by Polish studio Rainbow Train. The title features minimalistic visuals and gameplay mechanics. The latter focuses on unraveling twines with hooks at their ends. The presence of hooks forces the players to unravel the lines in the right order and to use various switches that change the situation on the map (they can either make the task easier or much more complicated).
HOOK, released on AND, PC, etc., is a minimalist puzzle game created by Rainbow Train. Founded by Maciej Targoni, the studio debuted with oO game.
Mechanics
Although HOOK at first glance looks like a simple electrical diagram, the goal of the game is to dismantle the tangle of lines ending with the title hooks. The difficulty, however, lies in the fact that when pulling out further lines, we cannot hook any of the other ones. The key to success is to find the right sequence, as well as the skillful handling of various relays, which further complicates the whole construction. The original version of the game offers 50 puzzles with increasing difficulty.
Technical aspects
The authors managed to find the perfect compromise between demanding logical entertainment and relaxing fun, which does not cause frustration in the player. The PC version of the game does not differ from the mobile prototype, offering equally minimalistic graphics - the white screen serves as a background for puzzles made of gray lines.
