Mechanics
ISS Pro Evolution is a three-dimensional sports game that tries to faithfully reflect the realities of the discipline. A total of several dozen teams were prepared by the devs for football fans, including all the major national teams such as Brazil, Germany, Italy, Spain, England, France and Argentina. In addition, for the first time in the series, the game sixteen clubs that can be run in a dedicated Master League mode. The teams consists of twenty-two players and are in line with the actual 1997/1998 season lineup. Players can compete in ten stadiums that recreate real-life objects such as Wembley or Stamford Bridge.
ACompared to its predecessors, this edition is distinguished by a number of novelties affecting mechanics. New dribbling options and tricks such as shot marking, as well as improved one-touch pass mechanics significantly increase the ability to create goal actions.
Game modes
ISS Pro Evolution offers a standard set of modes for the genre. Players can test their skills in friendly meetings, compete in leagues or tournaments, and spend hours on training. The opponent can be controlled by the AI, on one of several difficulty levels, as well as by another player. A novelty in the game is the Master League mode, in which we take over the role of coach of a selected club. For subsequent draws and wins, players earn points, which can then be used to buy football stars from other teams. In this way, we can create our dream team, which can later compete with other football fans in friendly matches.
Technical aspects
ISS Pro Evolution is a three-dimensional football game, in which the devs tried to faithfully reproduce the atmosphere accompanying the real struggles on the pitch. The atmosphere is created by, among others, commentary by Chris James and Terry Butcher. The title is unlicensed, so the names of players and clubs had to be changed, but the developers have provided an editing module in which we can make our own corrections.
