Insurgency: Sandstorm Description
Insurgency: Sandstorm is the second part of the FPS series, developed by New World Interactive studio. The game was released by Focus Home Interactive.
Story
Insurgency: Sandstorm takes place in modern times. The game takes us on a journey to the Middle East, which is a theatre of fictional warfare.
Mechanics
In Insurgency: Sandstorm we observe the action from the perspective of the first person (FPP). The key to success is teamwork and skillful use of the opportunities offered by the environment.
In the course of the game, we make use of various firearms, as well as a number of useful gadgets and tools such as smokescreening or aerial support calls. The title also allows you to modify the appearance and armament, offering a variety of clothes, uniforms and voices for our soldier.
Game modes
Insurgency: Sandstorm consists of a wide range of gameplay modes, both PvP-based and cooperative. The first ones, in which two sixteen-person teams stand up to fight, are Push and Firefight (where infantry soldiers fight on tight maps) and Capture the Base (in which on the vast battlefields we can use combat vehicles and flying machines). Modules based on cooperation of up to eight players are the ones known from the previous part of the Checkpoint and Outpost series, as well as a new variant of the game, called Operation.
Technical aspects
Insurgency: Sandstorm is based on Unreal Engine 4 technology; the developers have made the most of this engine to ensure that the graphics of their work are at a high level. It is worth noting that the title allows you to broadcast on the network the course of the struggle and watch repetitions of the game.
