In Silence is a survival horror with an asymmetrical multiplayer mode. The game was developed by independent Turkish studio Ravenhood Games.

Mechanics

We observe the action in In Silence from the first person perspective (FPP). One of the players here is playing the cryptid, or more precisely, the monster known as Rake. The monster is blind, but it has excellent hearing; this allows him to "see" nearby elements and the victims, who must hunt at all costs.

There can be a maximum of six victims and they are controlled by the other players. Their primary objective is to fool the creature in such a way to leave the map in one piece. Escape may require finding the wheels to the car, opening the exit or finding the armoury where the weapons allowing them to face the Rake are hidden. Various randomly assigned perks, as well as light torches that illuminate the darkness and can stun a monster for a while (but be careful, as they can also dazzle our allies) make the task easier. Although voice communication between them is possible (as long as they are in close proximity to each other), it should be used with caution, as a nearby creature can also hear their conversations.

The game ends when the survivors escape or when Rake manages to kill them all. In the meantime, however, any player who becomes a victim can return to the game as a mouse and help their companions in finding important items or distracting the monster.

In Silence offers not only multiplayer mode, but also single-player gameplay; the user can try his hand at fighting an AI-controlled monster.
