An adventure game with a point-n-click interface which is an adaptation of a movie of the same title. The story tells the adventures of a couple of friends on their way to the legendary El Dorado. The game consists mainly of talking to independent characters, exploring the location and searching for objects necessary to solve the riddles.

The game is an adaptation of a film of the same title, produced by DreamWorks - Disney's biggest competitor among children's films. The plot of the film and the game are the adventures of a couple of friends Tulia and Miguel. They believed that they had found their way to fortune and glory when by trickery they won a map showing the way to the legendary Golden City of El Dorado. The action of the game, however, is not a reflection of the plot of the film, but it tells about the adventures of two travelers that were omitted in it.

After an escape from the ship of the Spanish explorer Cortes, helped by the clever horse Altivo, the characters find an island corresponding to the one on the El Dorado map. Tulio, Miguel and Altivo set off on their way to the golden land, and on their way they face many adventures, including a dense jungle full of dangers lurking in wait for their lives.
