Gladio Mori Description
Gladio Mori is an action game designed primarily for multiplayer gameplay. It was developed by the independent, one-person company Plebeian Studio from Finland and it is their debut project.
Gameplay
In Gladio Mori we view the action from a third-person perspective (TPP). During the game we take on the role of a warrior and we fight slow-motion duels in arenas. The game allows us to decide what armor our gladiator will wear, as well as what weapon they will use. Among the latter we can find one and two-handed swords, sabers, spears or halberds.
Damage system
Compared to other productions of this type, this game is distinguished by two elements, the first of which is the damage system. By attacking a specific muscle of the opponent, we cause their limb to weaken, a pierced artery will lead to them bleeding out, while injuring an important organ of the target will quickly lead to their death.
The specificity of the armors was also realistically rendered. Given that armor can protect the user from stabs or cuts, the key to success is knowing the weak points and gaps in the opponent's defense. We should not forget that all this also applies to our character.
Character movement editor
The second element that distinguishes the game from other representatives of the genre is the movement system. The game has implemented an editor that allows for creating our own animations and sharing them with the community. Individual movements and attacks can be used individually or combined into sets.
Game modes
Gladio Mori allows for single-player fun, but the game was designed with multiplayer gameplay in mind. We can fight duels with other players over the Internet or locally.
Graphics
The graphic design of Gladio Mori was made in low poly technique (which means it was based on clearly visible polygons).
