EA Sports College Football 25 Description
EA Sports College Football 25 is a sports game simulating American college football games. The Tiburon studio, known for the Madden NFL series, is responsible for creating the game. This is a return to this topic after 11 years for the publisher. The last title featuring college level games was NCAA Football 14.
Gameplay
Compared to the Madden NFL series, the game uses the new CampusIQ technology, which realistically reflects the reality of college games. Thanks to a wide range of player ratings that change during matches, team levels, and a new passing mechanic, the gameplay is more strategic and reflects the depth of college football.
Additionally, we need to manage the health of our players to ensure that they are in the best shape when it matters. We can do this by limiting fatigue, assessing the risk of injury and avoiding mistakes on the field, as well as implementing strategic changes.
Another important mechanic is the home field advantage. The opponent has to deal with various disturbances that make the game difficult, such as screen shaking, missing pre-match icons, and moving play graphics.
Thanks to official licenses, the creators accurately recreated all the teams, athletes, stadiums, team runs, and fan behaviors. This allowed to transfer the atmosphere of these games to the virtual world of the game.
Game modes
The game features several singleplayer and multiplayer modes.
In Dynasty mode we play as a coach, building a comprehensive college football program from scratch. For this purpose we can hire a coaching staff, recruit the most promising players, and create a sports pantheon for years to come.
In the Road to Glory mode, we can play as the student-athlete created we've created. We have the opportunity to manage our weekly training schedule and image, which allows us to gain the coach's trust so that he puts us on the field more often during matches. If this doesn't work out, we can use the transfer system and move to another university that will appreciate us.
The game also features the Ultimate Team mode, known from other EA Sports titles. We can build a dream team of players drawn from opened packs of cards and then use them to compete with other people to win the university championship.
The last mode is Road to the Playoffs, in which we choose our favorite team and compete, climbing the league ladder. It's up to us whether we advance to the playoffs and fight for the national championship.
Technical aspects
During the game we can hear the voices of Kirk Herbstreit and Chris Fowler - a duo of commentators known from the broadcasts of the most important matches. In the case of the rest of the competition, we can listen to Jesse Palmer, David Pollack and Rece Davis.
