Funk of Titans Description
Funk of Titans, available on WiiU, AND etc., is a simple endless runner platform game, a genre popular on mobile devices. The game was created by an independent studio A Crowd of Monsters, known mainly for its episodic adventure game called Blues and Bullets which takes place in the 1940s. Funk of Titans was first released on mobile platforms and then ported to PC and consoles.
Plot
Funk of Titans takes place in an alternative version of ancient Greece, in which black Zeus, the ruler of funk, stands against the powerful musical Titans of rap, pop, and rock, distracting ordinary people from his favourite rhythms. In order to fight the threat, he sends out his son Perseus, his not very bright, but an extremely strong son.
Mechanics
The game is a simple platformer made in 2.5D technique, using an endless runner formula. Players do not control the direction of movement or the speed of the main hero. Their only task is to overcome obstacles standing on their way. We control the character by using only two buttons responsible for jumping and attack. The creators have prepared forty levels, presenting locations stylized by the music genres competing with funk. From time to time, Perseus will get access to bonus levels in a form similar to that of the popular Jetpack Joyride.
Technical aspects
The cartoon and three-dimensional audiovisuals of Funk of Titans does not differ from other games in this genre. The game distinguishes itself by the humorous and fully voiced dialogues.
