Forza Horizon 3: Hot Wheels Description
Forza Horizon 3: Hot Wheels for PC and XONE is the second big expansion to the racing game Forza Horizon 3 developed by Playground Games. This DLC is a part of the game’s season pass (just like The Blizzard Mountain add-on), but can be bought separately.
Mechanics
Forza Horizon 3: Hot Wheels for PC and XONE completely turns the game’s formula upside down. We still are playing an arcade racing game, but its rules changed significantly. The base game focused on driving on your typical roads and The Blizzard Mountain DLC introduced some snowy locations. This time, we will drive on crazy and twisted Hot Wheels racetracks.
The expansion comes with a new mini-campaign (including new challenges) and a special location made of six islands connected by a network of roads. We will find racetracks filled with launching pads, tailspins, and even speed boosters. Summing up, moderately smooth driving and sighteeing was repleaced with extreme and completely unrealistic races.
Hot Wheels introduced the following vehicles: 1969 Hot Wheels Twin Mill, 2011 Hot Wheels Bone Shaker, 2012 Hot Wheels Rip Rod, 2005 Hot Wheels Ford Mustang, 2016 Jeep Trailcat, 2016 Zenvo ST1, 2007 Toyota Hilux Arctic Trucks AT38, 2010 Pagani Zonda R, and 1972 Chrysler VH Valiant Charger R/T E49.
Technical Aspects
Forza Horizon 3: Hot Wheels for PC and XONE uses the same engine as the base game, but is much more colourful and stylized after the Hot Wheels racing track, with orange road panels standing out among the rest.
