Fortress: Destroyer is another game from the catalogue of Ninja Kiwi, the creators of Bloons TD 5. This time the developers have prepared a tactical action game in which we control warships.

Story

The action of the game starts in 2063. Extensive glaciers in Antarctica cracked and fell into the ocean, causing a powerful cataclysm - a great wave that sank the coastal cities. This tragedy had a huge impact on the whole world, causing chaos, economic collapse and even regional conflicts, which ultimately led to the collapse of governments. Two years later, Blackwater Enterprises, the world's largest naval company, decided to seize power in the seas and oceans. Only the captain of the New Coastal Alliance, a grouping of survivors and private fleets, can oppose it.

Mechanics

Fun in Fortress: The Destroyer starts by selecting one of the three classes of ships. The vessels can be modified in many ways by changing armament or by installing special modules to provide additional capabilities. We gain new parts and technologies by winning subsequent battles. In the same way we acquire more ships to our fleet. A total of more than 100 weapons, 75 modules and 15 different ships await the players.

Once we make our choice and finish customizing the vessel, we set off on one of the fifteen missions prepared by developers as part of the story campaign. The game is fast, smooth and has nothing to do with simulators, requiring very different tactics - we have to avoid missiles, use auto aiming, and even nitro. By combining all these options we become a real killing machine.

Playing requires skill and getting to know your opponents' abilities. Developers have prepared various types of enemies, including bosses, i.e. more powerful units that we face from time to time.

Other

Fortress: Destroyer is a paid production, but there are microtransaction in it. However, the system has been balanced in such a way that it is not burdensome. In addition, it can be completely switched off, so that the shop with technologies and resources disappears from the game. Of course, people who want to speed up certain activities can use it at will.

The title does not require a permanent connection to the Internet, but the developer recommends playing with active access to the network, as the production may then download data, e.g. saved game states. Thanks to this, if necessary, we can finish the adventure on another phone or tablet.
