Forgive Me Father 2

Mechanics

In terms of gameplay, Forgive Me Father 2 doesn't differ too much from the first game. Once again, we traverse locations of varying linearity while dispatching hordes of bloodthirsty enemies. In combat, we use a diverse arsenal of weaponry consisting of firearms - revolvers, rifles, shotguns - blades and throwables. Guns can be upgraded further than in the first game, making them even more powerful.

There's also no shortage of special powers tied to the protagonist's descent into madness. These are unlocked by progressing through the main storyline, while their skillful use can give us a big advantage over the enemies. This is made more important, as our foes can now evolve as well, turning increasingly stranger and more dangerous.

Game modes

Just like the first game, Forgive Me Father 2 offers only a singleplayer story campaign.

Technical aspects

Forgive Me Father 2 maintains the hand-drawn, grim artstyle of its predecessor, reminiscent of comic books. The visuals have still been improved though - the environment and the flat models are now much more detailed. The oppressive soundtrack filled with energetic guitar riffs and drums also makes its return here.
