A card game set in the universe known from the Fable series. The title was developed by Flaming Fowl, a studio that consists of former employees of Lionhead Studios – the creators of the previous entries in this popular franchise. As in other games of the genre, the gameplay focuses on duels played by using cards collected by the player in the game.
Fable Fortune is a card game released on PC and XONE. The title shares the universe with the famous RPG series – Fable. The game was developed by Flaming Fowl, a studio created by people who previously worked on the mentioned series in Lionhead studio.
Mechanics
Fable Fortune for PC and XONE is a card game focused on battles, where there are two types of units: those that can take active part in combat, and those that can provide passive bonuses. The battles are held in locations well known to the fans of the series, including the Fairfax castle or the Lychfield cemetery.
The game offers a few features that make it unique among other card games. The player can assume the role of one of many heroes with unique abilities and useful bonuses. Before starting the game, player can select one of a few quests assigned to a location and create a deck that suits it best.
Traditionally for the Fable series, during the game the player must frequently chose between good and bad deeds. These decisions impact the look and abilities of the protagonist and units he commands, and they also transform the rest of the cards.
Game modes
Fable Fortune for PC and XONE enables the player to play alone against artificial intelligence, to compete against other players in PvP skirmishes and, what’s unusual in a card game, to play it in cooperation mode for two players. It is worth adding that the title features cross-platform multiplayer, allowing PC and console players to face each other regardless of their platform.

There was the intention of narrative and flair with the morality quest system, but this falls face first back down the well of good ideas. Fable Fortunes is a perfectly fine card game, but there are far better alternatives.
