Epigenesis is a game created as an extension of the project that won the prestigious Make Something Unreal Live 2013 competition. The development team of Dead Shark Triplepunch studio was inspired by handball and the Bombing Run online gameplay mode present in Quake and Unreal Tournament games.
The action of the game takes place in the distant future, when matches of futuristic handball, played on the roofs of skyscrapers, became the favourite sport of people who survived the global catastrophe. Players play the roles of the players of two competing teams - Argos Gladiators or Omani Nomads. The goal of each team is to take over the ball on the central platform and place it in the opponent's goal. The prize for scored goals is genetically modified seeds, which allow you to take control of the platforms on which the pitch is divided. The duel ends when the time limit has elapsed or when one of the teams has mastered the roofs leading directly to the opponents' goal.
The gameplay has been designed for multiplayer online gameplay. Each player controls the actions of one player equipped with a jet backpack and gravity cannon to shoot enemies. The key to victory is teamwork, especially the protection of the player who has the ball and the effective defense of his own goal.
