Plot
The production is kept in a strong comedy atmosphere, and the plot makes fun of the stereotypes associated with ruthless American lawyers. We play as Max McMann, one of the lawyers. The protagonist began his career in the '80s of the last century and from the start, he seems to have all the qualities needed for success - he is charming and he has no backbone whatsoever. As a result, his only criteria when selecting customers is whether they will be able to pay for his services.
Mechanics
During the campaign, we have to win a series of increasingly difficult processes. Court battles were realized here in the form of turn-based battles. On one side, we have our lawyer. A prosecutor, his witnesses and material evidence serve as opponents, and each of these elements is described by two factors - reliability (the equivalent of health points) and the power of persuasion, which describes how much "damage" can inflict on our defense strategy. When it falls to zero, we lose the case.
We fight using an arsenal of legal techniques of various effects, such as interrogation, ridicule, asking numerous questions or factual analysis. Each of them deals damage to the credibility of the prosecutor, witness or evidence. When it is depleted, that enemy is removed from the courtroom. Numerous special skills, e.g. regenerating strength of our argumentation, help us to succeed.
Of course, every technique is strong against specific adversities and weak against others. We need to learn how to select the right attacks, as well as calculate what is worth eliminating from the process at its early stages. Between the hearings, we spend the money we have earned. New flats, furniture, clothes and cars increase your lawyer's confidence and unlock access to new techniques.
