DEVICE 6 is a mobile adventure developed for iOS by the Swedish studio Simogo, a team with Year Walk and Beat Sneak Bandit, among others. This is a premium production, so we pay for it once and then there are no, even optional micropayments.

Scenario DEVICE 6 revolves around the story of a woman named Anna, who wakes up on a mysterious island without remembering how she found herself in this place. To tell the truth, she doesn't remember much at all, and the only clear memory is the image of a strange doll. The player must discover the truth about the island and the reasons why Anna found herself on it. The script is a real masterpiece, playing with the conventions of games, films and novels, using them to manipulate the player's emotions and surprise him with unexpected twists and turns of action.

As befits an adventure, the game consists mainly in exploring the location, discovering the secrets of the plot and solving riddles. All this, however, was realized in a very unusual way. We get to know the world mainly by means of a text narration, which not only describes the reality around Anna, but also the words of sentences and paragraphs have been arranged in such a way that they create a map with their shape. Thanks to this, the corridors are described in a long, continuous sentence and the rooms are closed in a text square. Exploring the island requires following the letters and frequent rotation of the screen. It sounds complicated, but in fact, it works great in action, making navigation easier and providing a unique experience.

From time to time there are also pictures, many of which are interactive puzzles. They are also very unusual and players face mathematical, visual, as well as epistolary art, psychology, cartography and geography challenges.
