Destiny: Rising is a spin-off of the popular Destiny looter shooter, designed for mobile devices. The game was created by NetEase, whose portfolio includes Diablo Immortal. It was done in cooperation with Bungie studio, which supervised the entire project. The product is distributed in a free-to-play model with microtransactions.
Plot
Destiny: Rising takes us to the science fiction universe created for the series. The action of the game takes place in the era that followed the so-called Dark Age. We arrive at the City, which is the last bastion of humanity, and we become a new generation of heroes known as the Lightbearers. Our task is to restore Earth's civilization to its lost position in the Universe and ensure its safe future.
Gameplay
In Destiny: Rising we can watch the action from both the first (FPP) and third (TPP) person perspective. The adventure we participate in takes us through various locations, from the Haven sanctuary, through the barren Red Sea Rift, ending at the ancient Jiangshi located underground.
The game draws heavily from the achievements of its predecessors, so the highlight of the gameplay are spectacular battles with opponents. The authors provide us with an extensive, futuristic arsenal and a wide range of combat skills, which we use on the battlefield.
We take on the role of various characters in the game, each of which has an individual personality, history and set of abilities. As we progress, we develop heroes and heroines, unlocking new skills and improving the ones we already have. We also collect increasingly better equipment.
Game modes
Destiny: Rising can be played solo or in multiplayer over the Internet. In addition to the story campaign, there's also a co-op mode for up to six players, as well as competitive modes to try out. There is nothing to prevent us from joining one of the existing clans or building our own instead of playing with random people.
