Decay: The Mare, released on PC, AND, etc., is a psychological horror adventure point-and-click, developed by independent Swedish studio Shining Gate Software. The production is a continuation of the episodic adventure game Decay, which debuted in 2010 at Xbox Live Indie Games. According to the authors' declarations, the title is a tribute to cult series such as Resident Evil and Silent Hill and classic adventures - Phantasmagoria, Gabriel Knight and The 7th Guest.

Plot

In Decay: The Mare, we play as Sam, who goes to a specific addiction treatment center called Reaching Dreams. Our hero hopes to finally deal with his problem with drug abuse. Unfortunately, during the first night in the center, something goes wrong. As a result, Sam ends up in the middle of a seemingly never-ending nightmare. In order to discover what really happened in this place, our protagonist is forced to explore further dark rooms and solve the puzzles that will lead him to the exit and the happy ending of the whole story.
