Dark Meadow: The Pact is the first-person action game whose campaign takes place in the ruins of a hospital captured by a witch and her minions. While having fun we explore the world, solve puzzles and, above all, fight with numerous groups of enemies.
Dark Meadow: The Pact Description
Dark Meadow: The Pact, released on AND and iOs, is a shooter set in a horror fantasy universe. The game was developed by Phosphor Games Studio, the authors of Horn, World War Z and Man of Steel.
Plot
Dark Meadow: The Pact starts in the ruins of a gloomy hospital. We don't remember how we found ourselves in that place. Soon afterward, an old man warns us that the building is the seat of a beautiful, but evil witch, whose servants walk along the corridors of the facility, hunting every living being. In order to escape from the hospital, we have to find and kill the witch.
Mechanics
The action in Dark Meadow: The Pact is observed from the first-person perspective, but the game differs from the classic FPS and is divided into two sections. First, we explore the locations, pointing with a finger at the destination and observe how the hero moves there. In this mode, we look for objects and tips and solve puzzles. We can spend the collected gold on buying useful equipment and improving weapons.
When the battle begins, the game switches to combat mode. Here, we stand still and the gameplay changes into an on-rails shooter, where we only have to aim at the attacking enemies and pull the trigger at the right moment. If we allow the enemy to get too close, the game switches to melee combat mode. We use our sword to attack and parry. We can also dodge and block with the shield.
Technical aspects
Dark Meadow: The Pact has detailed graphics done with Unreal Engine 3.
