In Colorado, the player plays the role of a fearless trapper, who sets off on a mission to find a mythical gold mine, protected by an Indian named Lonely Wolf. Before reaching his goal, however, he will have to perform several smaller tasks: recover the stolen pipe of the Apacz room, subdue the bandits occupying one of the numerous mines in the area, and save the son of the Cheyen tribe leader, who was kidnapped by a giant eagle.

Colorado was realized in the convention of action/adventure, so you will find here both elements characteristic for adventure and arcade games. From the very beginning, the brave trapper is equipped with three tools of murder, which will allow him to exterminate unfriendly creatures and animals: a rifle (requiring supplementing powder), a tomahawk and a knife. During the further game we will find other useful items that can be stored in the inventory. Some of the necessary equipment for your trip will be bought from a touring MacBiggle dealer. His car appears on our hero's way from time to time. In Colorado you can travel either on foot or by canoe. The latter allows you to quickly cover longer distances and reach the locations down the river. During the voyage you should pay attention to the natives, who will try to shatter us with their boats about the numerous rocks and tree logs.
