A classic two-dimensional platformer in which all levels are randomly generated by the game engine. Players can choose one of several difficulty levels, affecting the number of traps and obstacles appearing in the level created by the computer. The game also supports multiplayer mode.

Cloudberry Kingdom is a classic platform game with multiple game modes, randomly generated levels, and difficulty level that caters to players’ skills. This is a debut title of Pwnee Studios, who took three years to develop the game’s unique engine. It is also noteworthy that the game was financed by fans via Kickstarter.

Gameplay model in Cloudberry Kingdom is not far from what can be found in the most popular games in this genre. You can choose to play one of several characters with unique appearance and of various sizes and animations. Some heroes can use double jump, others specialize in long jumping, or move in another characteristic way, e.g. in a box. If you do not take to any of the predesigned characters, you can always create one on your own by using a special editor with numerous variables.

All game levels are procedurally generated by advanced AI and are created according to your preferences. E.g. you may choose a type of traps and obstacles, positions of platforms, as well as one of 5 general difficulty levels. The engine also adjusts locations to number of players and abilities of their characters. This guarantees that any challenge (sometimes after some practice) may be completed.

The game developers prepared three game modes: campaign, arcade, and free play. The first one – which to some extent consists of levels with predesigned elements – presents the story using animated cutscenes. Another one lets you take on levels of increasing difficulty. In the last one, you can customize rules of the game.

The game offers multiplayer for up to four people. The developers also prepared online game ranks, where you can compare your achievements with those of others. You can also save and send generated levels to friends.

Cloudberry Kingdom has cartoonish and simple graphics. Fans of the genre will definitely notice similarities to the popular Super Meat Boy.
