Independent platformer stylized on similar productions from the eighties and nineties. The rules resemble a combination of such cult games as Super Mario or Montezuma without copying solutions from these classic positions.

Arkedo Series: 01 JUMP!, released on PS3 and X360, was developed by Arkedo studios.

Mechanics

In Arkedo Series: 01 JUMP!, we play Jumpboy whose aim is to disarm a few bombs in each of the stages. Unfortunately, it is not easy, because on our way there are legions of enemies in the form of sinister crabs or undead, which we have to avoid. The player can jump and throw a found knife, and the game has a maze-like structure. The stages are full of small traps, so we have to be careful where we jump and where enemies and obstacles (thorny pits or chasms) may appear. Despite the limited possibilities, Jumpboy can pass any obstacle if we only think a little bit.

Each game starts with a certain number of lives, and the game, like similar productions from years ago, does not allow to save your progress. When we die, we have to start all over again. The authors also prepared a special challenge mode, with even more difficult tasks and enemies. The game maliciously comments our defeats, laughing at the player's failures.
