Chuck Yeager's Air Combat PC

A flight simulator developed by Electronic Arts, which is signed with the name of General Lucek Yeager - one of the best American military pilots and the first man in history to cross the sound barrier (14 October 1947 on board the prototype Bell X-1 aircraft).

The program allows you to fight heavenly battles in fifty missions, for the convenience of divided into three historical periods (World War II, the conflict in Korea, and the war in Vietnam). All missions correspond to the battles that took place in reality, taking into account not only the American side, but also the enemy. If somebody seems to have a small number, they can always use a very easy to use scenario wizard, in which we decide on the aircraft we are piloting, the number and type of enemy machines, and the general level of difficulty. Thanks to this solution, the player can create a hypothetical duel in which a WWII fighter and a modern jet fighter will face each other.

Chuck Yeager's Air Combat allows you to fly fourteen aircraft: Republic P-47D Thunderbolt, P-51D Mustang, Focke-Wulf FW-190A-8, Messerschmitt Me-109E "Emil", Messerschmitt Me-110B, Messerschmitt Me-163B Komet, Messerschmitt Me-262 Sturmvogel, Yakovlev Yak-9, F-86E Sabie, Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 Fagot, Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-17F Fresco, McDonnell Douglas F-4E Phantom II, Republic F-105D Thunderchief and Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21MF Fishbed. The flight model of each machine has been faithfully reproduced by the programmers of Electronic Arts, while sitting at the controls we can also admire authentic cockpits.

The game is characterized by a colorful visual setting in low resolution. Both planes and terrain were prepared with the use of vector graphics. During the flight we can observe the action from various cameras, and record the whole skirmish in the form of a film for later viewing.
