A comedy open-world RPG developed by The Gentlebros, the creators of the popular Slashy Hero, for mobile platforms. As the title suggests, the protagonist of Cat Quest is a cat that travels an open fantasy world with a sword in his paw and an armor on his back. The story campaign starts when the cat realm of Felingard is attacked by dragons. We assume the role of a cat whose destiny is to become a Dragon Slayer and save its people.
Cat Quest available on AND, IOS, PC, PS4, etc. is an RPG with an open world and lots of humor. The game was developed by The Gentlebros studio, the authors of the popular Slashy Hero.
The game takes place in a fantasy world known as Felingard, a classic fantasy world. However, there is one important difference here - it is inhabited mainly by cats. The campaign begins when the land is on the verge of extinction due to the return of legendary dragons to its territory.
We play as a cat whose destiny is to become the Conqueror of Dragons and save the world. All this was of course told with a grain of salt and the whole story is full of humour.
Despite the humor, Cat Quest, released on the PC platform, PS4, etc., is a full-fledged RPG. As we play, we explore a vast world with an open structure, which has been densely filled with a variety of quests, both those related to the main storyline and numerous side missions. Among the diverse locations there are three large cities, forests, mountains, deserts, pirate islands and dungeons. There is even an option to travel on board ships.
We move around the map using a simple touch system - we draw lines on the screen with our finger to determine where we want to move on the land or the sea. All expeditions carry a lot of risk, because we often fall into groups of enemies, which we have to deal during battles using arcade system. The game has a character development mechanic, thanks to which we are able to improve the skills of the cat, reach new levels and equip our cat with better and better equipment, armour and weapons.
Cat Quest offers an attractive graphic design made in a cartoon style. It combines three-dimensional backgrounds with two-dimensional objects, enabling a smooth change of perspective while maintaining the 2D look.

Cat Quest is a decent little game that we'd definitely recommend, with a charmingly cute presentation and a solid combat system that together form an overall enjoyable experience. Although you will definitely feel the pangs of repetition, there's just about enough here to keep you engaged until you reach the title's satisfying conclusion. If you're a big RPG fan or you're a cat purr-son, then Cat Quest is going to be right up your alley.
