Gamer Social Club: 8.5 / 10 by Fraser Billington
Black Ops 6 does a fantastic job of keeping things fresh. The mission design never has you doing one thing too often. You will be infiltrating gang lands, breaking into government black sites, schmoozing with Politicians, taking part in poker games and storming a certain Palace in Desert Storm.
Checkpoint Gaming: 8 / 10 by Omi Koulas
Black Ops 6 nicely balances an action-packed campaign, lively multiplayer, and a refreshing take on Zombies. The game combines great visuals and gameplay, proving once again why Call of Duty remains a powerhouse in the gaming industry. While some technical hiccups and issues with multiplayer suppress the fun, the sensational controls and production values make it hard to put down.
Tom's Guide: 4 / 5 by Dave LeClair
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is another solid entry in the long-running shooter series. Its excellent multiplayer suite is the biggest draw, while its single-player campaign and round-based Zombies mode serve mostly as disposable distractions.
The main pros of the game
- Campaign Quality: Many players praised the campaign, describing it as one of the best in the series, with engaging storytelling, well-designed missions, and a blend of different gameplay styles (stealth, action, etc.).
- Zombies Mode: The return of Round-Based Zombies was well-received, with players enjoying the new maps and mechanics like Gobblegums. Some found the gameplay rewarding and fun, especially in the new environments.
- Gunplay and Movement: The gunplay and new movement mechanics (Omnimovement) were highlighted positively, with many players finding them enjoyable and intuitive.
- Graphics and Audio: The game was noted for its high-quality graphics and immersive sound design, contributing to an overall appealing aesthetic.
The main cons of the game
- Technical Issues: Numerous players reported crashes, bugs, and performance issues, including long loading times and frequent required restarts due to updates.
- Multiplayer Balance: The multiplayer experience was criticized for poor map design, unbalanced gameplay, and issues with spawn mechanics. Players expressed frustration with Skill-Based Matchmaking (SBMM) and the overwhelming presence of campers.
- Monetization Practices: There were complaints about predatory monetization strategies, including high-priced cosmetic items and a perceived lack of content for the price paid. Some players felt that the game felt more like a cash grab than a fully realized product.
- Launcher Issues: Users expressed dissatisfaction with the requirement to use a central launcher for all Call of Duty games, which made accessing Black Ops 6 cumbersome and confusing.
The features or elements that are missing from the game according to users
- Content Variety: Players noted the absence of certain beloved game modes from previous titles (e.g., Ground War, Invasion) and felt that the multiplayer felt repetitive and limited.
- Ranked Mode: Many users wanted a dedicated ranked mode for competitive play, as the current matchmaking system was seen as frustrating.
- Improved Zombies Mechanics: While some enjoyed the new Zombies mode, others felt it lacked the depth and challenge of earlier titles and expressed a desire for more traditional mechanics and features.
- Customization Options: There were calls for more customization options and a clearer leveling system, as players found the current progression and ranking systems confusing and unengaging.
Summary
- In summary, while Call of Duty®: Black Ops 6 has its strengths, particularly in the campaign and Zombies mode, it faces significant criticism regarding technical issues, multiplayer balance, and monetization practices, leaving many players feeling underwhelmed or frustrated.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Description
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is the 21st main installment of the bestselling FPS series published by Activision, and the sixth installment in the Call of Duty: Black Ops subseries, started in 2010.
The game is the result of collaboration between a number of development studios under the wings of an American publisher, led by Treyarch and Raven Software. In addition, teams such as Beenox (authors of the PC version), High Moon Studios, Infinity Ward, and Sledgehammer Games also participated in the development.
Campaign
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 gives us a story campaign in which the action takes place in the early 1990s, just after the end of the Cold War. It is a continuation of the events presented in Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War. Moreover, it includes references to memories from the 1980s, which we could see in Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
The campaign is written in the style of a spy thriller and features characters familiar to fans, such as Frank Woods and Russell Adler, as well as completely new ones – Troy Marshall and Jane Harrow. Following the trail of a global political conspiracy, we visit places including the Russian tundra, the Middle Eastern desert, Southern Europe, and the United States.
The core of the story are missions, during which we have to both act quietly and participate in spectacular events with intense shootouts. We can use weapons and gadgets straight from the action movies of the late 20th century. Between the missions we visit the hideout that acts as a hub where we can learn more about individual characters and the plot, unlock various upgrades, solve a number of puzzles, and finally choose the next assignments.
Multiplayer
The second pillar on which Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is based is the online multiplayer mode. It includes both the main variant of the game for two six-person teams, as well as the Strike mode, designed for 2 vs 2 or 6 vs 6 matches. 16 new maps have been prepared for the game's launch – 4 for Strike mode and 12 for the main mode.
This is not the end, as the Prestige system (Classic Prestige) returns here, thanks to which after reaching the highest rank we can gain access to various bonuses. The game also features a cinema mode and offers new interface settings. The latter include the ability to change the position of the minimap and completely disable selected HUD elements.
Zombies Mode
The third pillar of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is the Zombies Mode in which we repel successive waves of the living dead, fighting alone or in cooperation with other players. As we progress, we unlock various improvements that increase our combat potential, and consequently - allow us to survive longer on the battlefield. At the time of the premiere, two maps were made available to us - Liberty Falls and Terminus.
Omnimovement
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 offers a completely new, realistic character movement system, called Omnimovement, which was prepared from scratch. Thanks to it, we can run smoothly, slide and dive in any direction. It is also possible to rotate in a lying position, which further increases our freedom of movement and expands the range of tactical possibilities on the battlefield.
Game Pass
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was released on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
