BloodRayne 2: ReVamped Description
BloodRayne 2: Terminal Cut is a refreshed version of the action game from the Terminal Reality studio, released in 2004 on PlayStation 2 and Xbox, and ported to PC a year later.
Plot
Players take on the role of Rayne, who is a dhampir, i.e. the half-vampire. It has many vampire powers, but it also shares with them such ailments as blood hunger or sensitivity to sunlight.
The plot revolves around the heroine's siblings. Her sisters and brothers join forces to form an organization known as Cult of Kagan (in honor of their father's name). It comes into possession of a substance that enables vampires to stay in the sun. With it, they want to initiate a new era in which the vampires will rule the world and mankind will only provide food for their new rulers.
Mechanics
BloodRayne 2: Terminal Cut is an action game in which we observe events from a third person perspective. The gameplay focuses on eliminating hordes of enemies with the help of an arcade combat system. In clashes we use both cold weapons and firearms.
The fights are very spectacular. The heroine uses acrobatic techniques and finishing blows and can combine attacks in various combos. Rayne's supernatural powers and the regeneration of health by sucking blood from enemies also play a key role in battles.
Game modes
The game offers only single player mode.
Technical aspects
Compared to the original BloodRayne 2, the remaster Terminal Cut offers a much improved graphic design. The game supports 4K resolution, has enhanced cutscenes and sharper textures. Anti-aliasing, light effects, shadows and reflections were also improved. Elements such as water or fog also look nicer.
Noteworthy, the owners of the PC original received all these changes and improvements for free in the form of update.
