BattleLore: Command

Mechanics

BattleLore: Command isn't a typical adaptation of the board game, in which the gameplay is limited to manipulating simple virtual versions of paper elements known from the original. Instead, the game is a classic strategy, with an extensive campaign and 3D graphics. Also, the world and the plot are new. Only the combat rules are a heavily reworked version of the table version of BattleLore Second Edition.

We start the game with only simple units - archers and city guards. As the campaign progresses, we increase our army by getting other troops such as cavalry, knights and powerful golems. Each unit has at least one special skill. The same rules also apply to Uthuk Y'llan's troops, which are also regularly joined by new monsters.

The combat system is tactically developed, where aspects such as covers and flanking attacks play a key role.

Game modes

In addition to the story campaign, BattleLore: Command also offers a multiplayer mode where players can command both the forces of the Daqan Lords and the armies of Uthuk Y'llan. In multiplayer battles, we can choose from many different battle scenarios with different victory conditions.
