Avernum 3 Description
Avernum 3 is the third and the last installment in the RPG trilogy by Spiderweb Software. The game is a direct sequel to Avernum and Avernum 2, and begins right after the rebellion’s victory over the Empire. Now, the inhabitants of the underground prison-land, Avernum, dream of return to the surface, to their homes and their ordinary life. The road is not an easy one, though, and the players become scouts, the first to see the light of day.
Once we reach the desired destination, it turns out not to be what we expected. Instead of a paradise, we see a destroyed, desolate world, full of wild beasts and dangerous monsters. Unexpectedly, our old foe, the Empire, becomes our ally in the fight against the powerful forces of destruction. Avernum 3 is an incredibly expansive game with over a hundred levels, vast cities, villages and caves. The game also has an open ending.
