The third installment of the RPG series by Spiderweb Software, inspired by the classics of the 80s and 90s. Avadon 3: The Warborn continues the storyline of its predecessors. In the game, we assume the role of a hero whose task is to protect the kingdom from all threats. When his homeland falls victim to a large invasion of monsters and barbarian tribes, his goal becomes to stop it.

Avadon 3: The Warborn is an RPG for PC and iOS, inspired by the productions of the 80s and 90s. It was developed by Spiderweb Software, the creators of Avadon: The Black Fortress and Avadon 2: The Corruption.

Plot

The game continues the story of its predecessors, although it’s not essential to know their plot to enjoy Avadon 3. We assume the role of a hero whose only task is to defend the kingdom from all threats. He is the so-called Hand of Avadon, a fighter, a spy, a judge, and an executioner, all at the same time. At the beginning of the campaign, his homeland fell victim to a large invasion of monsters and barbarian tribes. Our goal is re-establish order.

Mechanics

Starting out in Avadon 3: The Warborn for PC and iOS, we have to create a character by choosing one of five character classes with unique abilities. The action is showed from an isometric camera, and the gameplay mechanics offer classical solutions known from numerous RPGs. Therefore, we are given a huge world to explore, densely populated with quests and dungeons, and the player has the freedom to choose the way to save Avadon. The campaign can end in numerous ways, including those where the hero fails or joins the forces of evil to conquer the land he has sworn to protect.

The protagonist is accompanied by a party and the player has full control over all its members. Combat is played in turns and characterized by a high difficulty level. The game is enriched by hundreds of items to collect and an extensive development system that lets us freely shape heroes’ careers.
