So when It comes down to it, is the game fun? I think it is, but I do have some concerns over the micro transactions.
PlayStation LifeStyle: 7.5 / 10 by Paulmichael Contreras
Armored Warfare is a decent tank game, but whether it can retain any semblance of longevity on a console flanked with free-to-play games remains to be seen. While World of Tanks may remain the king of tank games simply due to an already entrenched player base, Armored Warfare is a good match for those who prefer a slightly more arcade-like experience. Since the game is free to play, those interested should definitely give it a download.
CGMagazine: 8.5 / 10 by Nathan Shubert
While it is not for everyone, if you enjoy the tactical tank genre and can look past some bland maps, Armored Warfare is well worth your free-to-play hours.

Armored Warfare Description
Armored Warfare is a tactical military MMO game developed by Obsidian Entertainment; the title features a free-to-play business model with microtransactions.
The action of the game is set in the modern era, allowing the player to use the most advanced war machines. Obsidian’s newest project is focused strictly around multiplayer skirmishes and offers a variety of different game modes. We can face other players in PvP battles or join forces with them in coop campaign missions; the developers have prepared battlefields which will appease both the players who prefer to act on their own, and those who prefer precise cooperation with their teammates.
It was the aim of the authors to deliver dynamic online skirmishes, which is why the gameplay is fast-paced and skill-dependent but does not put a lot of emphasis on realism. Despite the simplistic steering system, the developers have put a lot of effort towards making each machine have a different feel to it when it comes to the performance on the battlefield. Between battles we will spend a significant amount of time customizing and upgrading our vehicles. The system offers a lot of freedom, allowing the players to match the equipment to their own playstyle.
Armored Warfare was developed using the CryEngine. The technology ensures a heavy amount of details, along with a battlefield destruction system.
