Arken Age

Arken Age is an action adventure game developed for virtual reality headsets. The Canadian studio VitruviusVR, which also has such projects as Shadow Legend VR and Mervils in its portfolio, is behind the creation of this production.

The plot

Arken Age takes us to a terraformed fantasy land known as Bio-Chasm, for which the mortal danger is a neural contamination called Hyperion.

In the course of the game, we take on the role of a character described as an alien biological weapon and traverse this world, trying to neutralize any threats we encounter. Along the way, we explore the culture of the natives of the Nara race, as well as discover the secrets of the so-called Grand Arborist, to whom the Bio-Chasm owes its current appearance.

Gameplay

In Arken Age, we view the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). While traversing the Bio-Chasm, we often have to face enemies. In addition to regular adversaries, powerful bosses stand in our way, clashes with which are often divided into several stages.

Enemies are eliminated by using white and ranged weapons. A physics engine was implemented in the game, taking care, among other things, of the realistic behavior of swords and other weapons. As we progress, we accumulate modifications and resources, which are used to produce personalized tools of murder.

Exploration of locations, on the other hand, is varied by the ability to climb on selected elements of the environment (provided to us by special hooks). In addition, we often have to show dexterity and reflexes by jumping over obstacles; from time to time we also have to swim.

Game modes

The heart of the Arken Age game is the story campaign. It is complemented by an endless battle mode, in which we face successive waves of adversaries.
