AGOS: A Game of Space is a game from the verge of adventure games and space simulators. The game was developed by Ubisoft, and was created for virtual reality sets.

Plot

AGOS: A Game of Space takes us to 2057. After the fate of the Earth was sealed, the humanity fighting for survival moved to the decks of hundreds of spaceships that travel through interstellar space. During the game we play the Artificial Intelligence installed on board of the last such ship. Our task is to ensure the safety of people during the thousands of years of mission, the aim of which is to find a habitable planet where they will be able to start the process of rebuilding civilization.

Mechanics

In AGOS: A Game of Space we get a vast space consisting of eight different and unique star systems. The driving force behind the game are missions that push the story forward, but apart from their implementation, there are many other duties on our shoulders. The most important is to navigate the ship in such a way as to avoid obstacles (e.g. in the form of asteroids drifting in a vacuum), which makes it easier to watch the action from both outside and from the pilot's perspective. Besides, when we travel through space, we obtain various resources. We can use them to build probes (nothing stands in the way of taking direct control over them when landing on various celestial bodies) or to create improvements for our ship, allowing its crew to survive in the most inhospitable corners of the Universe. In addition, the game allows us to trade with other ships, as well as discover the secrets waiting on board of abandoned space stations.

Technical aspects

AGOS: A Game of Space boasts high quality graphics. Especially the detail-designed elements of ships and probes make an impression, but you can also enjoy the picturesque cosmic views. In addition to VR goggles, the game requires dedicated motion controllers to work.
