Game Expansions for The Guild 2
The Guild 2: Renaissance
Strategy 28 July 2010
The third expansion to The Guild 2, developed by the team at 4Head Studios. This time, the action takes place in the titular era of the Renaissance, which has been presented in two new scenarios: The Alps and The Free Republic of the Netherlands. The expansion introduces an array of new professions, such as the mercenary, artist, banker or mason, as well as a whole range of solutions – the changes have been made primarily to the judicial system and combat mechanics, as battles are now fought on much larger maps, on which you can also encounter wild animals and independent characters, controlled by the newly improved AI. The Guild 2: Renaissance also introduces the ability to ascend to the nobility, and features previously unavailable buildings, as well as an exclusive, brand new soundtrack.
The Guild 2: Venice
Strategy 10 October 2008
The second expansion to The Guild, a real-time strategy game with RPG features, developed by 4Head Studios. True to its title, the add-on takes us to Venice – a 15th century Italian city state, which the creators recreated with all details - and allows the players to visit places like Piazza San Marco or Doge’s Palace. Due to the unique location of the metropolis, many places can only accessed with new means of transport - gondolas. This isn’t the only novelty, as The Guild 2: Venice features many new things, improvements and changes, such as another story campaign and the option of giving our character personality of Casanova, famous for his love conquests.
The Guild 2: Pirates of The European Seas
Strategy 27 April 2007
The first expansion for The Guild 2, an interesting title enabling us to create our own house and lead it to prestige and wealth. The new expansion enables us to engage in various professions involving sea travel. We are free to participate in complex trade relations with the greatest ports, build good relations with other traders, or sail dangerous trade routes. On the other hand, the player can take control of a pirate ship, and hunt trade vessels for their precious cargo. The authors introduced a new mechanic – sea battles, which are influenced by a number of factors, including the armament of the ship, as well as chosen tactics. Nonetheless, pirate ships are not the only threat – sometimes, the sea is visited by powerful storms, with hazardous winds and high tides often damaging our ship or even making us loose our cargo. Aside from the above, Pirates of the European Seas introduces a new campaign, three extensive maps, as well as a set of new buildings and professions.
