1428: Shadows over Silesia is a dark action RPG that takes us to a fantastic version of medieval Europe. The game was developed by independent Czech studio KUBI Games.

Plot

Action of the game 1428: Shadows over Silesia takes place in the year 1428. The game takes us to Silesia, which fell victim to invasion by the Hussites led by Prokop the Great. The main character of the game is a monk who discovers that religious disputes and war are not the only concerns of the inhabitants of this land. In the darkness lurks an ancient evil, and the hero must face this mysterious force.

Mechanics

In 1428: Shadows over Silesia, the action is shown in isometric view. The game has been divided into separate levels, and the story told in it, which has a linear structure, has been divided into chapters. When we travel through monasteries, castles, gloomy dungeons and dark caves, we not only perform a variety of tasks, but also solve environmental puzzles, avoid deadly traps or finally face our enemies. Due to the fact that the main character is far from a battle-hardened knight, the fights are not particularly dynamic. In addition, the enemies often have a large advantage over us, so it is better to sneak behind the backs of the adversaries. Both hostile people and fantastic creatures like skeletons stand in our way.

Technical aspects

Graphic design of the 1428: Shadows over Silesia is maintained in dark colours. The game was created in the "low poly" style, which means that it was based on clearly visible polygons.
