An expansion for the action RPG set in a fantasy version of Silesia during the Hussite Wars. 1428: Shadows over Silesia - Tourney at the Bear Rock features three types of knight tournaments for us to compete in. We can also encounter various historical characters in the game.
1428: Shadows over Silesia - Tourney at the Bear Rock is an expansion pack for the action RPG released in October 2022, set in a fantasy version of the Silesia region during the Hussite Wars. The DLC was developed by the authors of the base version of the game, namely the independent Czech studio KUBI Games.
Plot
1428: Shadows over Silesia - Tourney at the Bear Rock focuses on the titular knightly tournament, held at Pernstejn Castle in honor of the beauty and virtue of the beautiful Lady Madeleine. Hynek, one of the main characters of the original, ends up here not only to prove his worth, but also to carry out a certain secret mission.
New features in the expansion
The biggest novelty introduced in 1428: Shadows over Silesia - Tourney at the Bear Rock is the possibility to take part in three tournament competitions. Apart from knightly duels, Hynek can prove his bravery and skills by fighting his competitors directly, as well as participating in archery competitions. To win, we must not only demonstrate our abilities, but also discover our opponents' weak points and use them against them.
This is not the end, as tournament events take place exclusively during the day. After dusk, the protagonist can participate in large and loud feasts or gatherings around the fire, as well as listen to troubadours and watch performances of jesters. These events provide an opportunity to meet new characters. In addition to the owner of the castle – Wilhelm of Pernstein, Hynek has the opportunity to talk to the famous Jans – Sokol of Lamberk and Zizka.
