Far Cry 2 Description
Far Cry 2 for PC, PS3 and X360 is an official sequel to a highly acclaimed FPS released in 2004. This game too is a first person perspective shooter with much freedom of exploration and intense combat against highly intelligent opponents. One of the basic differences between the sequel and the first Far Cry is a total change in setting. Whereas the previous game was set on a tropical island, this one takes you to Africa. Therefore, you get to explore savannas, deserts, and wild jungles.
This change in game setting had little influence on gameplay proper. All maps can be explored freely. You can select which mission to do next, including side jobs. You can also work for local organizations. To move around the game world you can make use of 14 different means of transport, including wheeled vehicles, as well as paragliders.
AI of computer opponents was improved in comparison with the previous game. The enemies can now adjust their tactics to weather conditions and the time of day. You can eliminate them using about 30 different weapons. Apart from usual rifles and pistols there are also rocket launchers, etc. Note that weapons wear out when used. Also, the environment can be destroyed by the player, in order to clear a path or take out a group of opponents. On PCs Far Cry 2 offers full support to DirectX 10.

Far Cry Series
Far Cry is a series of first-person shooters (FPS) with a sandbox gameplay model. The leading theme of the series is spectacular shootouts using modern firearms, but the developers are not afraid to experiment and from time to time serve players a trip to completely different realities, such as distant prehistory (where rifles and flamethrowers are replaced by bows and machetes) or an alternative world in the climate of cyberpunk (where cyborg soldiers fight using laser weapons). The series allows us to drive vehicles, including jeeps or boats with machine guns, and sometimes to ride animals (such as elephants). Starting with the third installment, RPG-like elements, such as crafting and character skill development, began to enter the series. Later installments were also equipped with level editors.
