DualShockers: 8.5 / 10 by Dean James
LEGO games have found a very unique niche in gaming and yet have still managed to continue to get better and better. Even though it likely will not change the minds of those who do not enjoy the LEGO series of games, the stellar presentation, humor, and overall joy found in these recreations of each movie make LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga one well worth picking up.
Nintendo Life: 9 / 10 by PJ O'Reilly
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a fantastic experience on Switch, a great big celebration of everything Star Wars that's made the jump to Nintendo's console in surprisingly fine form. The upgrades to the series' core gameplay here - the combo-focused combat, flashy space battles, boss encounters, over-the-shoulder shooting action and cover system - all combine to make this the best LEGO Star Wars has ever felt to play. Throw in a humongous open world setting that's bursting at the seams with secrets and collectibles and you've got an absolute smorgasbord of all things Star Wars to dig into. Turns out we were fools to think we could ever get tired of Jedis and lightsabers and the pew-pew-pew of flashy space guns.
VideoGamer: 6 / 10 by Josh Wise
There just isn’t enough juice in the combat, the cover shooting, or the endless hoovering of collectibles.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Description
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a new installment of the action adventure game series, which unites the Star Wars universe with popular LEGO. Game is a sort of final summary of the series and allows to relive the events from three cinematic trilogies from 1977-2019. It was developed by the authors of the previous parts of the series from Traveller's Tales studio.
Plot
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga contains the stories known from nine full-length Star Wars films, starting with the fate of Anakin Skywalker in the times of the Old Republic, through Luke Skywalker's battle with the Empire and ending with Rey's journey. However, it is not a faithful adaptation. In accordance with the tradition of games with LEGO in the title, the events are presented in a tongue-in-cheek manner, enriching the story with a large dose of humor.
Game mechanics
Gameplay in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga doesn't differ much from the previous LEGO Star Wars games. This is a colorful action adventure game in which we control the characters known from the movie screen. Hundreds of characters such as Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Obi Wan Kenobi are at our disposal. Together with them we travel through locations, fight with enemies and solve simple puzzles.
Although the gameplay formula has remained unchanged, the developers have introduced some modifications and additional attractions. We can freely fly our ships (including the iconic Millennium Falcon) in space, as well as land on selected planets in many different places. A big novelty is the combat system. The developers have developed a mechanics that allows even the youngest to play, while at the same time leaves room for more skilled players to show off.
Game modes
According to the tradition of the series, in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga we can play both solo and together with a friend in co-op mode.
Technical aspects
Traveller's Tales studio did their best to make LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga look like an eighth-generation console game. Graphics been kept in the style of the previous installments, but with a lot of added detail, such as sand collecting on figures in the desert of Tatooine.
