Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones Description
Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones is another, after Sands of Time and Warrior Within, installment in a well-received game series about the adventures of a Persian Prince. In one of the endings in Warrior Within the Prince saves his beloved woman and takes her from the Island of Time to Babylon. Sadly, instead of well-earned peace and serenity, he finds his homeland plagued with war. If that was not enough, the people turn against their monarch. The Prince gets captured, but his beloved Kaileena sacrifices herself releasing the Sands of Time to save him. Cast into the streets of the city and chased by his persecutors, the Prince discovers that his previous ventures have led to creation of the Dark Prince, whose soul slowly wins over the hero’s body.
This twist of the plot lets players play and progress as two characters. You could say this is like getting two games in one. Both the Prince and his dark version have unique combat styles, special powers, features of character, and skills. Free-Form Fighting combat system was significantly expanded, and now fighting is even more exciting. Apart from hand-to-hand combat, you can use the deadly Dagger of Time and send enemies to the Underworld with one strike from behind while sneaking.
The game is set in Babylon, where you fight spectacular battles on rooftops, take part in chariot pursuits in the maze of streets, and get ambushed (or set an ambush) in dark underground passages. Well-known powers of the Sands of Time – slow down or rewind time – come back in the third part of the adventures of the Prince. Now the developers implemented some new functions of this useful “weapon”. Although the main course is combat, Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones also features action elements and some logic puzzles.
