Using the map is one of the basic mechanics of Forspoken, and each region has its own separate map. On this page of the guide, we explain how to remove the fog obscuring new regions of the map and how to reveal basic and hidden locations. This knowledge will surely be useful when exploring the world and in order to attain 100% completion of the game.

Why further areas of the map are obscured with fog?
The fog-covered parts of the map are currently inaccessible locations that yet have to be unlocked and explored. Each region of the map is filled with additional activities, such as labyrinths, refuges, or caves up for exploring, or spots where you can improve your hero, such as Monuments.
How to reveal the secrets and activities?
Revealing further points of interest in Forspoken is very easy, as you only need to find Belfries i.e. tall towers such as the one shown in the screenshot. Once you climbed to the top of a Belfry, activate the Cuff Scan (d-pad up on PS5) and the game will automatically reveal all secrets and side activities that are nearby.
