This page of the guide to The Forgotten City contains a description of the storyline task, in which you will discover who is stalking Vergil. You will check the leads, talk to the suspects, and find out the truth about this suspicious case. We described what you need to do to push the plot forward, get more tasks and make progress. However, you can stop here and ask around for as much information as you can.
You must complete this mission if you want to get the Liberator achievement.
Vergil
Vergil is either in his shop, or right in front of it. Sometimes he tries to erase the writing that someone put on the wall of his building. This graffiti is the core of the whole mission.
You can start a conversation with him right away by asking about the writing on the wall. Select "I noticed the graffiti. Why does someone think you're a sinner?"
Then the conversation should proceed so that you can choose the options:
- You like men?
- I'm sorry to hear that.
Georgius
You need to interview the traders in the area who might know something about this. Go first to the store where Georgius is. Select "Any idea who's threatening Vergil?"
Fabia
The next person to question is Fabia. She is in her shop; ask her the same question "Any idea who's threatening Vergil?"
Note in the tavern
Go to the tavern. This is the first building you see when you leave the temple, just to your left. Climb the stairs to the top, and then look into the small room. There's a little table right by the entrance with an unfinished note on it. Read it, then go to the prime suspect.
Rufius
Once you read the letter, everything will become obvious. Time to go to Rufius. He's somewhere near the stairs around the market. You must talk to him in such a way, that you'll be able to use these dialogue options:
- "Any idea who's threatening Vergil?"
- "I know it was you. I found an incomplete letter to him in your quarters."
Completing the task
After that, go to Vergil and tell him what you found out; this will end the quest.
