Farmer's market
This feature becomes available at 15th experience level. Despite its name, it is not about trading, but more about exchanging goods. You do not spend your money here and you can only make a profit with Farmer's Market.
Once you have reached the required level, you can find a Market Stall at the Market (Buildings / Crafting bookmark) at a cost of 50,000 coins or 20 Farm Cash. If you buy it, you will be able to gather fruits, vegetables and others into the Bushels. The Bushels appear randomly while harvesting and are available for any non-Limited Edition crops.
There are few benefits of having the Bushels. First of all, you gain an additional Mastery Point while harvesting (you must harvest the same crops as in the Bushel). This brings you much closer to the next level in crop mastering. You can read more about Crop Mastery in another part of this guide. To get such a bonus, first you have to "activate" the bushels however.
To do this, go to the market panel by clicking Look Inside on the Market Stall. You can find all your bushels in Use Bushels bookmark. After selecting the desired bushel and clicking Use, you will have 2 hours during which harvesting this crop will generate an additional mastery point. It is not long, so it's best to wait until crops are fully grown and then "activate" the bushel. If the crop is fully mastered, you'll receive additional XP.
But this is only one benefit of using Farmer's Market. As a social game, FarmVille also involves your neighbors to play a little bit with you Market Stall. Every time you find a bushel, it is automatically moved to the Market Stall. If someone is visiting your farm, he (or she) can check then the Stall and take some bushels. But this doesn't mean that you lose them. It is more like a free copy of your bushels for the neighbors. And in addition you will be rewarded, with a choice of coins, fuel or XP.
It is quite possible, that you will also run out of the bushels. Do not hesitate then and pay your friendly farmers a visit by clicking Get Bushels. You can purchase up to three bushels from every neighbor (and of course he won't lose it) once a day. What's more if your level is not high enough to use that seed, you'll get a 2 hours license to plant this crop.
You should also keep in mind other things. After the bushel end up at the Market Stall, it is available for your friends for next 24 hours. However this time is extended for an additional 8 hours per every Mastery level you have. So if we got 2 Mastery stars with artichokes for example, the crops last at the Market Stall for 40 hours. The Mastery level has also a big influence on number of bushels you can find, while every Mastery star adds one more bushel. You can also have more than one Market Stall (5 maximum), but purchasing another one depends on how many neighbors you have or needs Farm Cash.
The capacity of your Market Stall also plays a significant role. If you've just reached its limit (100 slots at the time of writing this guide) and you want to get rid of some bushels, you can use Share option (Use Bushels bookmark). The selected bushels will be given to your neighbors.
If your level is not high enough to manage bushels, but you see that someone offers them, show interest in it anyway. You won't get any bushels, but you'll be rewarded with experience points to cheer you up.
The Farmer's Market can be also used for managing your goods which are made in special buildings (bakery, winery, spa). With the Get Goods bookmark you can purchase your friends' products, and with Use Goods bookmark you can access yours. For more information on goods see the chapter on crafting items.
