The Witcher Texturen Mod. The best mods for classic games

Table of Contents

The Witcher Texturen Mod
  1. Game: The Witcher
  2. Creator: Jussylein
  3. Size: 1.4 GB

The protagonist of The Witcher was always insecure about his looks. Mods for the fantastic third part of the series are plentiful, and you can check our list here. But we'll focus on the original, released in 2007 and powered by the same engine as Neverwinter Nights 2. The Return of the White Wolf is one fantastic mod for this game, but we will focus on The Witcher Texturen Mod, a set of upgraded textures.

You can't help but notice the changes – better buildings and sidewalks, better ground and generally better everything. The author took care of plants, posters, barrels and other miscellaneous items like that. . Special effects of magic were also revamped.

The Witcher Texturen Mod does not change the appearance of characters and monsters – here, we recommend Hi-Res Character Models as a complement to the described modification. And for dessert: Perfect Blood Mod.

Installation

  1. The mod on ModDB

Download the mod, then:

  1. Go to the main folder with the game installed and open the "Data/override" folder.
  2. Place the downloaded file there (the one with the "exe" extension) and run it.
  3. You'll see a standard installer, in German. The "Weiter" means "Next," other than that it's straightforward.
  4. Complete the installation and you're done.

Makesure you've installed the mod in the right direction. The installer sometiems creates a new folder called "The Witcher" in the main directory of the game, even if you have chosen the correct path to install. In this case, open the new folder, copy the "override" folder from it, and place it in the "Data" folder in the main folder of the game.
