Slay the Spire. Top 13 Roguelike PC Video Games
Table of Contents
This is the game for you if:
- you like card games;
- you are open to experiments in roguelike and roguelite genres;
- you don't mind a large dose of randomness.
Many developers try to experiment with the premise of roguelite games, but few completely abandon the dynamic, skill-based combat. In Slay the Spire game, the entire gameplay is based on duels straight from the card game... and the end effect is phenomenal. This production, once available in Early Access, offers polished mechanics and a lot of content. For example, there are three different character classes, each of which is very different - as they all have different special cards.
Half the fun is planning and selecting new cards and upgrades to match your "build" to chosen tactics. You can be offensive or focus more on blocking or weakening enemies. Of course, you will start making strategies after several hours when you get to know the basics. A variety of enemies, lots of items, and interesting random events - as well as choosing your own path to the main boss - will guarantee that, even after a long time, you're not going to get bored. You don't need to rush, so you can really relax with Slay the Spire (once you come to terms with the fact that death is unavoidable).
