In The Division 2, for a change, we do not save the world – it is already destroyed by an epidemic of Black Death, and the players can only scramble to collect pieces of the shattered civilization. The protagonists – agents of the eponymous Division, a secret, American "super-special" service, gradually restore the foundations of human civilization and try to restore order. Mostly using all kinds of, let's call it direct coercion.
Although the game was developed by the Swedish Massive Entertainment, a subsidiary of the French Ubisoft – the game is very American in nature. This is apparent both in the form and the spirit – suffice it to say that the headquarters of the players in White House, and the main plot focuses on the figure of the current President of the USA, Andrew Ellis. All in all, it's a fairly typical story of a dangerous conspiracy and heroic American soldiers. The gameplay, on the other hand, is top-notch
Why is it worth it?
The Division 2 is one of the best looter shooters on the market. The game looks great, is a hell of a lot of fun to play, and the developers are constantly supporting it.
