Mario Rabbids: Sparks of Hope shows how sequels should be made. Compared to Mario Rabbids: Kingdom Battle , the game has undergone huge changes and all of them should definitely be considered positive. We get huge maps that we can freely explore and whose subsequent fragments are unlocked as we progress in the main storyline.
The combat system has also been polished - although it is still turn-based, it allows for more freedom and offers more options tactics-wise. We move our characters freely (within the alloted action points) at the beginning of the turn, and there are two attack actions to distribute. The new Mario Rabbids also offers great possibilities of configuring the difficulty level - from gruesome fights and survival to even invincible heroes. Definitely one of the best productions for Switch this year.
