In such a situation, Planet Zoo is the best choice – a very well made zoo simulator by Frontier Developments.

OK, the animals are not always cute, however, the developers made sure they behave in a natural way and resemble their real-life counterparts (however not entirely due to cartoon-like visuals). There are a lot of available creatures including big cats, bears, turtles, buffalos, and elephants. Unfortunately, there are no sea nor flying animals, not to mention night creatures. Nonetheless, there is still a lot to choose from.

Tending to your animals is not an easy task, as each species has different requirements – e.g. bears have to be surrounded by a glass wall because they will climb a net. Moreover, one has to take care of the visitors and rend to the budgeting which might prove to be one’s true nemesis. Even one wrong decision might be the undoing for one’s zoo.
