DismembermentPlus – heads will roll. Best mods to Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord | 2023
Table of Contents
War. War never changes. And war in the Middle Ages was extremely bloody and brutal. The creator of DismembermentPlus came to the conclusion that the realities presented in the quasi-medieval Bannerlord are too pretty and decided to do something about it.
Remember the game Soldier of Fortune? It was groundbreaking due to the mechanics of dismembering bodies, however gruesomely that sounds. Schwarz1 probably fondly remembers this production as well, because he added, or actually improved the existing mechanics, of dismemberment in Bannerlord. The mod is an extension of the Dismemberment mod. The "plus" version not only introduced new possibilities, but is also compatible with latest versions of the game, which cannot be said about the original.
The "plus" variant allows you to sever heads, arms, hands, legs and feet. In the settings, you can set the percentage chance of dismemberment. One of the options also activates the dismemberment system for artificial intelligence – a computer-controlled character will be able to chop up another AI-controlled soldier. The brutal effects of the weapon can be watched in slow motion.

Calradia at War (Custom Spawns) – New factions and more excitement
This is probably one of the biggest mods to this game. It's not about the size of the file, because it weighs only 406 KB. Calradia at War is great because it introduces a lot of changes, even tools to create your own content.
The mod adds over 20 diverse factions, which include hundreds of new units and their own trees. Each faction is led by unique lords.
One of the goals of the CustomSpawns team was to bring more chaos to the war-torn land. This was achieved e.g. with various spawning schemes, which to some extent (frequency, size of spawns) can be controlled in the settings. The gameplay is also more complicated – caravans can be robbed, and ordinary, simple people can be taken hostage. All this and much more means that the player should never feel overly confident. Thanks to this, the game provides more emotions.
INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
- Download the Calradia at War (Custom Spawns) mod .
- Unpack the downloaded archive to the Modules folder located in the game's main directory.
- Activate the mod in the launcher.
Sometimes the modification has a funny bug – soldiers become children. If it happens, changing the order of loading mods will help - Calradia at War should be at the very bottom.
